I have assembled hundreds of wooden boxes. The words simple and easy don’t even come close to describing what a snap it is to assemble a Superior Bee hive. The hive box is the only item needing assembly.

Follow these instructions and you’ll agree that Superior is beekeeper-friendly hive ware.

Orientation is important so the panels are not installed upside down.

On the back find the circle with the triangle in it. The point of the triangle is up or the top.

On the front the Superior Bee logo and handle show you how the orientation is up or the top.

Now that all our ducks are in a row, let’s put it together.

This step must come first. After the panels are glued together there is no way to put this piece on.

Note that the top plastic pry has two flat areas with a ridge between them.

First, slide the top plastic pry piece on the top of the front and back pieces.

It will be firm and snug but that is the way it should be.

This step must come second. After the panels are glued together there is no way to put this piece on.

Note that the bottom plastic pry has one flat area with a ridge.

Slide the bottom plastic pry piece on the bottom of the front and back pieces.

It will be firm and snug but that is the way it should be.

Now it is time to glue.

Note the red arrow. This may not look like a lot but it is too much! More is not better. A little dab will do you.

Remember this red arrow.

The side panel is on the floor.

Make sure the panel orientation is correct. The triangles on the inside should both be pointing up.

Once the orientation is correct, align the joint with the hole and push and slide firmly and quickly until they are seated flat together.

Look at the red arrow. Remember the arrow above and where ‘more is not better’? Glue squishing out is an indication too much was used.

Repeat with the other front/back panel.

Make sure the plastic pry pieces are on before proceeding.

Check the orientation. Are the triangles aligned?

Once the orientation is correct, align the joint with the hole and push and slide firmly and quickly until they are seated flat together.

Glue the last side panel on.

Check the orientation. Are the triangles aligned?

Once the orientation is correct, align the joint with the hole and push and slide firmly and quickly until they are seated flat together.

Paint with a quality latex or masonry paint.

You are done!

Now enjoy the next generation of hive ware.
